History

A Lebanese origin company owned by the Jamil Family. It was established in Beirut back in 1902 as the only licensed lighterage company – and still is. It developed into the largest stevedoring operator at the Port of Beirut, ship agency, terminal operators, shipbroking, and chartering operation.

In 2003 the Jamils incorporated “Qawareb Ship Management LLC” in Dubai, which owned and operated a fleet of 12 handysize, and multipurpose ships.

Titan Commercial & Investment Bucharest, fully owned by the Jamil family was founded in 2016 as a European entity which acts as a maritime & trade project development and shipping consultancy, operator for transport of bulk grains and iron ore using Panamax, Ultramax, and Supramax bulk carriers as well as MR, LR1 and LR2 tankers; presently minor shareholders in 2 MR’s and 2 Supras.

The Group just incorporated Titan Maritime Ventures Ltd (Hellas) in Greece (2021), which signals the beginning of a long presence in the eminent Greek Shipping market where it is undertaking technical and crew management services in collaboration with “Columbia Ship Management” as well as fuel bunkering services with Baseblue (respectively world’s leading ship managers and supplier of bunker fuel and lube oil).
